Kanthaka Dharma Center and Animal Rescue, Inc.

A non-sectarian Buddhist Dharma Center that believes in socially engaged Buddhist practice.

To spread and teach the Dharma throughout the World to all sentient beings; to provide authentic teachers and dharma experiences to those in S.E. Colorado; to reach out to anyone and any being in need of help and provide selfless service without expectation of return; and, to generally attempt to emulate the ideal of the Bodhisattva.

Kanthaka aims both to share the riches of the Buddhist tradition with all interested and to foster a community of people dedicated to integrating Buddhist teachings and practices into their daily lives. While based in the teachings of the Tibetan tradition, Kanthaka is non-sectarian in spirit and welcomes people who share in the vision of deepening our capacities for more skilful and compassionate living. Providing for the rescue and rehabilitation of non-human, sentient beings, and in particular large animals is integral to our mission and forms a demonstration of our practice.
