About Me...
I have over 17 years of massage therapy experience with emphasis on Sports Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy. Her education started with human physical training, over 500 hours of human massage training, over 1000 hours of continuing education in a variety of therapeutic modalities, and over 250 hours of Equine Massage Muscle Therapy with Mike Scott, training that included internships with local equine chiropractors, farriers, equine massage therapists and acupuncturists, advanced myofascial energetics for the horse, Myofascial Release and TMJ Treatments for the equine with Jean Pierre Hourdebaigh, participated in an Equine Cadaver Lab/Lecture @ Tufts University in Massachusetts, and trained as a Cruelty Investigator for the Equine with the Equine Rescue League.Joy's experience and knowledge of the equine anatomy helps her determine where weakness or imbalances acquire within the body and how to treat those conditions.
