Meet Volkswagen. This quiet snuggle bug is looking for someone with a soft sofa and open arms to be his new TV binge buddy.
Volkswagen was a bit of a fugitive before he came to Fulton County Animal Services, with a concentrated effort from a dedicated Animal Services Officer regularly working the area he was seen in for weeks before finally catching him and bringing him to us.
This guy is ready to get out of here to be shown the life a pup deserves and would love to start the holiday season with his new forever family.

This not-so-chilly fall Tuesday calls for a happy pupdate! Joey was a special pup who came to Fulton County Animal Services early in the summer. His sweet face made the whole shelter fall for him, but it was soon discovered Joey was totally blind, most likely since birth. That didn't stop him from soon becoming the resident rascal here at the shelter when we found out that Joey could open doors, latches, scale desks, and climb great heights. It was going to be a special family who would be Joey's forever.
Well, we soon found that family and Joey, now Tony, is living his best life with his human and fur siblings. He is spoiled as all pups should be and we are so excited for his new life. Happy Tails ya' little rascal!

This year, spend the week of Thanksgiving with a shelter dog. A break from the shelter during the pawlidays not only helps them rest and recharge, but also helps them find their forever home!
Can you host a pup at your Thanksgiving dinner? We'll provide supplies and support, you provide the love. Sign up at LifeLineAnimal.org/home-for-the-pawlidays.

We don't often know the stories of the animals that come through our doors. They usually come to us when their path finally crosses the right person's, and we are able to start working on their new forever. With so many paws walking through our doors, we are constantly amazed by the love, kindness, gentleness, and loyalty these animals show us and each other, even when something in their past has gone so wrong. With the often overwhelming shelter environment, it is heartwarming to see the animals comforting each other like this.
Last month, we showed you the critical capacity we were at, and this has sadly not changed. We are still in desperate need of adopters and foster families.
If you or someone you know is looking to adopt, please visit us to find the newest member of your family! You can see our adoptable animals here: FultonAnimalServices.com/adoptable-animals
If you can not adopt but could temporarily house an animal, please consider bringing a pet home for a 2 or 4-week foster! The knowledge learned from foster families is critical in matching animals with their forever homes, and the break from the shelter environment has exponentially positive effects on the animal. You can sign up to foster here: LifeLineAnimal.org/foster
If you would like to host an animal over the Thanksgiving holiday please visit LifeLineAnimal.org/events/home-for-the-pawlidays/
If you can not foster or adopt, please share this message! Please repost and also share this information within your community to help spread the word so we can find these wonderful animals the loving homes they deserve!

Hey, @kristenanniebell we wanted to let you know that your namesake here at Fulton County Animal Services in Atlanta is doing well after a battle with parvo.
Our incredible vet tech team has been taking care of this girl as she fought and we were all delighted when she voluntarily ate for the first time on Thursday.

Meet Lex Luther! This squishy faced love bug is no villain however, he doesn't want to take over Metropolis, just your heart...and maybe your sofa.
This 3 year old handsome fella is a larger sized, playful happy guy who, as you can see, loves cuddles more than anything. He has got along well with his dog friends here at the shelter and loves making new friends.

Fulton County Animal Services resident brindle sweetheart Luna recently got to spend the day with some wonderful new friends where she got to play in the trees and go for a quick dip (it was a little chilly to jump all the way in!).
Luna got along well with her new friends and a few new pups she met on the way and had more than enough cuddles to go around!
