Buck the Rescue Dog is Missing

Buck is a sweet dog, approximately two years old who rescued from the hills of Kentucky. He came from a hoarding situation along with his brother, Jack. He loves people, but he's not fond of other dogs simply because he has never really been exposed to them. He's a dog that only knew the four walls of a home and never got a chance to learn about the great outdoors. Jack found a loving home, but Buck was still waiting, while being nurtured and loved at the rescue. It soon became time for him to move on to a foster home where he could begin to learn that he could again live in a home... but this time being loved, while he waited for his forever home.

Faith intervened on a cold night, his foster Mom was walking him. She slipped on the ice and Buck got away. Frightened, he vanished into the night.

Buck's foster family, his Hopeful Tails family and others who have grown to love his story, pledge to do everything in our power to bring Buck home.

To do it, we need your help spreading the word.

Buck was lost in the Lemont-Homer Township area. He could be anywhere. We have flyers up and we're adding more every day and hand-delivering flyers to homes throughout the area. Businesses, local authorities and vet clinics have been contacted.

Please help us share his story because it truly takes a village.

Also remember this critically important information…should you see Buck, do NOT chase him. A lost dog that is chased can be forced to make very bad decisions… for example: running into traffic, running onto train tracks or even simply leaving the area and becoming lost forever.

Call us with any information at 815-931-9240. You can also call 815-341-8391. Buck needs our help to get home. We are grateful for your help!
Of course he is listed with Lost Dogs Illinois
