Angel Animals of St. Francis of Assisi is a 501c3 non-profit, no-kill sanctuary dedicated to the rehabilitation and care for special needs animals of Southeast Iowa regardless of age, health, disability or behavior.
Our mission is to bring about a better world that is kind to all living creatures, end needless euthanasia in shelters and work toward a day that there are no more homeless pets.
We will achieve this mission through three major objectives: keeping pets in their homes, humane care in shelters and increasing adoptions through shelters.
Specific objectives include shelter and humane care of animals in need, community outreach programs, humane education, a spay / neuter and microchip program, TNR for feral cats, providing short-term and long-term foster care for pet owners who are moving, hospitalized or fleeing domestic violence situations, creating partnerships with other shelters and rescues and committing to advocating for humane legislation.
