Sandy Valley Habitat for Humanity is operated on Christian principles that works to promote a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.



Sandy Valley Habitat for Humanity is a Christian organization that partners with families who earn too much income to qualify for housing assistance programs, yet not enough income to qualify for conventional mortgages. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at cost with a zero interest mortgage. Habitat is not a giveaway program. We offer families a hand-up, not a hand-out. In addition to a down payment and monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor called sweat equity, into building their Habitat house and the houses of others. In the end, these families can proudly say, “I helped build my own home.”
