(USA) We do not run the municipal county shelter. We are an all-volunteer, nonprofit animal welfare organization in Maryland.

To reduce the number of unwanted litters of dogs and cats through spay/neuter education and low-cost sterilization programs;

To prevent cruelty to animals and all animal suffering through humane education, neglect and cruelty investigations, protective legal action, and an active adoption program;

To protect all animals against suffering and abuse through education and legislation affecting the protection of all animals.
