Over 10 dogs made their way from down south to our Brewster (Cape Cod) Animal Care & Adoption Center ❤️ These guys and girls have gone through veterinary and behavioral exams by our shelter medicine team and some are now ready to find their new home.

Meet Myrtle! This sweet and adorable lady came to us from Dallas, Texas and is looking for a home outside the city. She’s 7-years-old and knows no personal space when it comes to getting scratches and cuddles. Myrtle walks well on a leash and loves to spend time outdoors. She can be a little too interested in small animals and cats so she prefers to be the only furry friend in your home. Sadie (1st picture) is an 8-year-old Basset Hound/Beagle mix who LOVES to put her nose to the ground and follow a good scent trail. Sadie prefers to go at a slow pace and is not yet house trained so a yard would be helpful for this lady!
Rosie (2nd picture) is an 11-month-old Labrador Retriever mix who is a very sweet girl and is friendly with everyone she meets. She would even do well with another canine friend in the home as she has made plenty of friends since her stay with us.

**Update: Curtis has been adopted ❤️**

Don’t let Curtis’s grump face fool you — he is the absolute sweetest! This big, 13 lb. guy came to our Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center as a stray so we don’t have much info on his past. One thing we do know is that he has quickly charmed his way into the arms of many of our staff and volunteers ❤️ Curtis has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which is not uncommon for intact (now neutered) male cats living outside.
