Wild Oat Animal Rescue, Inc.

Wild animal and farm animal rescue.
Open to take calls for animals from 10 am - 6 pm.

To rescue, rehabilitate, and release native wildlife and to provide sanctuary,
individualized care, and a voice for other animals in need.

WOAR rescues orphaned, injured, and displaced wildlife and returns the majority to the wild. We also provide care, sanctuary, and in some cases, adoption for farm animals, horses and some companion animals on a very limited basis.
In addition, WOAR offers assistance, on avery limited basis, to homeless companion animals and feral cats and provides advice in dealing with human-wildlife conflicts in a nonlethal manner. WOAR staff work to educate the public about more sustainable and appropriate relations with nature and wildlife.
WOAR is a strong supporter of spay and neuter. We have participated in low-cost spay and neuter clinics in the community. Any companion animals that come to WOAR are fully vetted, to include spay and neuter, before they are placed for adoption in permanent homes.
We at WOAR have held low-cost vaccination clinics for dogs and cats for over 7 years in this community and the surrounding counties, to help families who can't afford to go to a vet for these services, to be able to keep their pets healthy. We also supply pet food and supplies, as the budget allows, to individuals and families that have been financially burdened, to keep pets in their own homes with loving families, and reduce the amount of pets in rescues and shelters.
