Toby's Place Cat Rescue

Toby's Place Cat Rescue is a private funded non-profit sanctuary that accepts cats whom otherwise cannot be adopted/rehomed due to behavioral issues.

Toby's Place is a sanctuary that provides a forever home to cats that cannot be rehomed. Some cats are from feral colonies that are not cared for. Some are cats that had inside home but can no longer live indoors due to inappropriate litter box eliminations. Once a cat is relinquished to Toby's Place, they are tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia, then vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and dewormed. Depending on the age of the cat, they may have more complete blood work performed and a dental or other necessary surgical procedure. When the cat is as healthy as possible they are taken to the rescue property. There they are placed in a large cage where they take time to acclimate to their new surroundings. The length of time they are in the cage depends on their personality and ability to adjust. Previously indoor cats are placed in the rescue barn with an outside enclosure. Feral and colony cats are placed in the rescue barn that allows free roam on the property. The new barn (with the enclosure) has 3 specialty wards: Kidney failure/geriatric ward, Immune deficient ward, and Isolation. Each ward requires a special diet and/or medication specific to their needs. All the cats have names and receive medical care as needed. They are fed dry food each morning and canned food each night. There are over 25 litter boxes, most of them cleaned twice daily. Our goal is to provide a forever home and to enrich their lives to the best of our ability.
