UN-Cats Feline Rescue

UN-Tameable, UN-Treatable, UN-Touchable

UN-cats first goal was to build a sanctuary and adoption agency for felines positive with Feline Leukemia Virus (Felv) and Feline Immunodefiency Virus (FIV), who are being euthanized in shelters and by owners who are not educated well enough about these diseases. While these felines do pose a small health risk to healthy felines, UN-Cats wants to work with shelters to see that these cats are getting the second chance they deserve in finding a permanent home.
The second, goal UN-Cats is working towards at addressing the never-ending problem of feral cats in our cities, towns, and own backyards. The fact is that there is not enough room at shelters for these cats, resulting in many being euthanized. UN-Cats goal is to educate the public on population control and how to care for outdoor cats. As well as offering the option of low-cost spay/neuter for stray cats and for feral cats through are Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) program. While these cats may never make good house pets, the life of a healthy outdoor cat is better than no life at all.
