Shelter Mission and Core Values: At MCAS we are dedicated to engaging the hearts, hands, and minds of the community to help animals in Montgomery County. As such, we are devoted to the humane, efficient, high quality care of animals in our shelter.

In addition, we long to see the day when shelter killing no longer exists.

Dog and Cat Adoption Fees and Incentives:
Adopting a Montgomery County Animal shelter pet is a rewarding experience that you will not regret! Not only are you saving a life, but you are getting a forever friend that will love you unconditionally.

FEES: * As of 1/18/17, the regular adoption fee for dogs is just $40 and cats only $20.
* Any pets at the shelter 21 days or longer or those with a plea put out by facebook.com/mcaspin can be adopted for just $10.
* Former and active military can adopt any pet for just $10, regardless of length of shelter stay.
* Adoption fees will be waived for seniors (55+) who are adopting any pet 2 years or older.
All fees apply to pets at the shelter and in foster.

INCLUDED: Costs for spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, de-worming, and micro-chipping (microchip included with full-price adoptions only, available for $25 with discounted adoptions). Adult dogs have been tested for heartworms and cats have been given a feline leukemia test.
