We are dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue hundreds of animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.

Here is some info we pinned to the top of the page to help you out.

1. We will need you to fill out an Adoption Application Online: https://ww04.elbowspace.com/secure/20130108185454530739 OR www.eastcoastpawsnclaws.com

2. To see pictures of Fur Kids they are listed on the wall or you can "click" photos and look under Albums it will say Puppies Ready it is updated weekly

3.All puppies/dogs we have for Adoption are Up to Date on Vaccines, worming and Preventatives!

5. We are CASH only no checks or Credit Cards...We DO NOT Hold puppies, take deposits or have payment plans!

6. We ONLY set appointments 24 hrs in advance and the puppy you would like to see is held until your appointment! You can ALWAYS meet them at at our Meet and Greet Events that are updated on our page and Website!

7.Please do not set an Appointment until your are ready for a puppy//Dog. Check with husbands, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, landlords(we will need written and verbal Ok from landlords) etc BEFORE making your appointment

8. Please be respectful of our time , the Fosters time and not to mention the "furkid" who is anxiously waiting to meet you.. if you are going to be late or can not make it please let us know so we are not sitting here waiting that is really rude...we understand traffic ....we just want to know whats going on

10. If you plan to attend an event, please bring a completed hard copy of the adoption application to streamline the process or we ask that you fill out another copy.

11. We appreciate it when all human and canine members of the family attend the event to meet the dogs.

12. If you have a resident dog or dogs please bring him/her/them with so they can meet their prospective new canine sibling!

13.We understand that this is not always possible and it is not a requirement but we do give preference to families with all members present.

14. Please understand that we do not adopt on a first come-first served basis. We work very hard to choose the home that is best suited to the dog and family.
