Habitat for Humanity of Taos is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. We believe that every person deserves, at least, a simple and decent place in which to live and grow. We invite people from all faiths and walks of life to work together in partnership, building houses with families in need and for families in need.



Taos Habitat ReStore - our mission is to RECYCLE donations from individuals and businesses, RESELL them to the public at a reduced cost, and REINVEST the profits into Habitat for Humanity of Taos to help REBUILD lives through building homes.

The ReStore is a materials recycling center and home improvement store that sells new and used materials to the public at below-retail prices; we have a wide assortment of goods, everything but clothing! Proceeds help pay for HfHT’s home building program. By accepting these materials we’re helping Taos County go green by keeping items out of the land fill. We encourage ‘repurpose, recycle and reuse’ with pictures at the store and Facebook posts at our ReStore FB sight, www.facebook.com/TaosReStore, of great ideas on how to use something old and make something new!
