Humane Society of Cambria County
We welcome you to visit our shelter and meet the pets we have available for adoption Tuesday - Sunday.
The mission of the Humane Society of Cambria County shall be to provide the means for the prevention of cruelty to animals, to enforce all laws designated for the protection of animals, to promote responsible pet ownership, to place all adoptable animals into responsible homes, and to strengthen the human/animal bond. This shall be carried out through cruelty investigations and prosecutions; education of children and adults, the promotion of animal training; counseling to reduce the number of animal surrenders; temporary shelter of homeless animals; nurturing and improving the behavior of the animals in our care; veterinary services for sheltered animals; placement counseling for prospective adopters; development of educational literature about pet care; pet therapy visits to nursing facilities; an active volunteer corps; and other such lawful activities to effectuate these purposes.

We hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving! Our shelter animals enjoyed some very special treats today. And, they told us that they are grateful for every single person who helps give them a second chance. So, to all of our staff, volunteers, donors, and community supporters, we thank you!

In observance of Thanksgiving, the Humane Society of Cambria County will be closed Thursday, November 25th. Normal business hours will resume Friday, November 26th at 12 p.m.

We would like to take a moment to recognize all of those who helped to make our annual Claws & Paws Cash Bash a huge success! We wouldn't be able to hold this event every year without the support of our giving sponsors and generous donors and the help of our outstanding volunteers. OUR CAT ROOM IS OPEN! At this time, cat adoptions will resume as normal and cat intakes will continue to be dependent on available space.

Our biggest fundraiser is this Saturday, November 20th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Richland Fire Hall. With over $1,000 in cash prizes and raffle prizes like Steelers & Penguins tickets, you won't want to miss it!
Tickets are still available, and can be purchased at the Humane Society of Cambria County located at 743 Galleria Drive Extension Johnstown, PA 15904 during business hours. We are open from 12 to 5 p.m. today, November 16th.
We have both admittance and no admittance tickets. A $20 ticket includes dinner, beverages, dessert, and entry into the cash drawings. A $10 ticket includes entry into the cash drawings only.

As part of National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, we would like to take a moment to THANK OUR STAFF! These hardworking people deserve to be recognized not only this week but each and every week of the year. They are truly the backbone of our shelter! And, we couldn't make a difference in the lives of so many animals without them!
Our shelter family celebrated this week with breakfast, lunch provided by @stadiumpubgrille, and gifts. Thank you to everyone who made this week special!

Adoptable pets Bronx, Bambi, and Biscuit enjoyed all of the love and attention they received from the bank staff, and, in return, the bank staff enjoyed the cuddles and kisses.
