Humane Society of Morrow County
The HSofMC is a 501(c)(3) organization run solely by volunteers. We do not currently have a shelter; our adoptables are fostered within private homes.
We are open Mondays 9-12, Wednesday 4-7 and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 10-12.
To Promote Animal Welfare. To Relieve Animal Suffering.
To Educate The Public.
Since 1974 our mission has been to promote animal welfare, relieve suffering and to educate the public. Our Animal Resource Center opened in 2016, our first brick and mortar location ever! We offer community assistance, educational opportunities and showcase adoptables there. Most of our adoptables are fostered in private homes but we do have a full time adoptable at our center that can be viewed during our regular hours OR by appointment.
We pride ourselves in educating the public on the proper care and nutrition of any animal species and work long and hard on the sterilization of dogs and cats. We offer programs to assist with the sterilization of the counties' pets.
We welcome any interest in fostering or volunteering that the community shows. Volunteers and foster families need not live within Morrow county to offer assistance. We offer monthly meetings open to the general public on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at our 16 S. Main St. location.
