Forgotten Tails animal Rescue is a Non-profit 501(c)(3) all volunteer organization
What:
We rescue, provide sanctuary (food and shelter) ultimately re-home lost, abandoned, stray and forgotten dogs. We provide needed spaying and neutering as well as shots and required health care of all rescued dogs thru our local veterinarian. When possible we also support other overcrowded shelters in our area especially those that terminate dogs by providing an alternative to termination of adoptable dogs especially puppies. Forgotten tails rescue dogs are all evaluated for temperament and personality with people and other dogs to provide the best information for suitable placement of each dog in a home appropriate for them and any future owners.
Forgotten tails also works and networks with shelters in and out of our area. This includes the transfer of dogs to other shelters that may have potential owners for a particular dog. We are promoting adoption from shelters as a viable option for future pet owners as well as the benefits of spaying or neutering and responsible pet ownership. Our ultimate goal is to find a loving home for every one of these forgotten tails
Why:
Forgotten Tails was formed of a desire to help with a big problem in our area and out of an extreme love for dogs who have committed no wrong other than to have been forgotten or abandoned by the society in which they live.
When:
Now is the time as our mission is one of life and death for these dogs without our efforts so many will, roam in feral packs breeding uncontrollably, die by starvation or disease, meet there fate on the roads hit by a car, or terminated by overcrowded shelters with no other options.
