It’s Tripp Day! 🎉

We figured this pup deserves his own day not just because he’s cute (I mean, come onnn! 😍), but because he’s a long-time resident of the shelter. This is unbelievable to those of us who know and love him!

Tripp is a fun-loving 3-year-old dog with lots of energy and affection. He’s very sociable with those he trusts, and is an expert at being chill after all his energy is out. He loves rolling on his back for belly rubs and playing in the backyard (which should have a very tall fence -- he's an escape artist!).

We aren’t sure what he went through before he came into our care, but we know it was traumatic.

Poseidon was fearful and wouldn’t walk when we first met him. And after an examination from our Shelter Medicine Team, we found out why. There was a huge crack in his hip bone, and it was causing him tremendous pain.

No one — especially a sweet puppy — deserves this, so we rushed to help. Poseidon just came out of an intensive orthopedic surgery to correct his broken femoral head, and he has a long journey to recovery ahead of him.

HELP NEEDED: As the weather changes and temperatures begin to drop, our Shelter Medicine Team is seeing a sharp incline in the number of puppies and kittens coming into our care with upper respiratory infections and even pneumonia.

Cases like these can be resistant to certain antibiotics, so in addition to ensuring each pet has the medication they need to get better, we often prescribe daily use of a nebulizer to help break up the congestion deep in their chests.

With so many animals in foster and so many more sick animals coming in, we have completely run out of nebulizers. Could you please help us provide these little ones the top-quality care they deserve?
