Hub Area Habitat for Humanity Aberdeen
Habitat for Humanity located in Aberdeen South Dakota, Hub City. We service the Help Build it Center, A Brush With Kindness, and new home builds.
Mission
Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
The Help Build it Center resells a variety of donated and new items, with the proceeds supporting both new house projects and the A Brush With Kindness program. Donations of usable building supplies, furniture, tools and working appliances will be accepted for resale. Items such as mattresses, televisions, clothing, and tires will not be accepted.
A Brush with Kindness is an exterior Home Preservation program that provides painting, landscaping, and minor repair. ABWK helps low-income homeowners impacted by age, disability, and family circumstances, who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes, reclaim their homes with pride and dignity. It revitalizes the appearance of the neighborhood, strengthens connections within the community, and helps preserve and create affordable housing stock.
The Habitat for Humanity Selection Committees uses the following criteria to identify qualified families:
