Meows & BowWows Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Meows & Bow Wows Animal Rescue is nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization. Our mission is to rescue, care for, socialize and adopt out abandoned, abused or stray dogs and cats from the greater Memphis area. All rescued cats and dogs remain in foster home care until a suitable permanent home is found for them or until the end of their natural life. We are committed to working with other local animal welfare organizations and animal shelters and to educating the community about responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of companion animals.

Meows & Bow Wows Animal Rescue is nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization. We are a network of foster homes staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers. We do not have a brick and mortar shelter or a physical location where you can visit our rescued animals. All animals in our care are in private foster homes. Meows & BowWows Animal Rescue focuses on rescuing cats and dogs who are in immediate danger of being euthanized at local municipal animal shelters. We do not accept owner-surrender animals. We also do not have the ability to respond to calls or alerts about abandoned animals or to pick them up. Meows & BowWows Animal Rescue does not receive any government funding and does not have any paid employees. We depend strictly on donation in order to continue to rescue animals in accordance with our mission statement. Any donations made to Meows & BowWows Animal Rescue are tax-deductible based on the organization's 501 (c)(3) status.
