Friends of Animals is a 501c3 tax deductible non profit organization formed in November 2013. In our city/county, We do not have any type of animal shelter, animal control, no enforcement of animal related laws or any type of outlet for unwanted animals. We are the one and only organization making a difference in the lives of helpless dogs and cats in our community. Our mission is to care for and re-home stray,abandoned animals in our community, along with educating the public on the importance of spay/neuter and proper pet care. We do not receive any funding from the government, the city or county or grants. We operate solely on donations from individuals and local businesses. We have an all volunteer 'staff'. All our animals receive the same care and love they would if they were our own pets. We strive to create a 'home like' atmosphere to help the animals feel comfortable and safe while we have them and make for a better transition into their forever home. We are open by appointment only.
