“I Love Lucy” is one of the greatest TV shows of all time. That’s what you’ll be saying about me as soon as you meet me. I’m just one of those gals that commands attention every time I walk in a room. All eyes are upon me with my beautiful brindle coat and orange eyes. I might look rather serious but believe you me…I’m not. You’ll catch me playing with my toys and then I’ll get you involved in the fun too. We can also go on long walks or runs – I’m game for either!
Once we are all worn out, I’ll be ready for a good old fashioned nap – right in your lap. A lap nap? LOL - I just made a funny!

Yep, I may be 40-50 lbs, but I just want to be your lap dog. I’m about 6 years old and I’ve got lots more years to be your best fur baby! So please come on over and meet me. I would love being your best gal – just like Lucy was to Desi!

Today is North Texas Giving Day, our largest annual fundraiser. Bella was found on the side of the road with a gaping wound on her leg. A Good Samaritan reached out to TBC for help and we were able to get the sweet girl to a veterinarian. After emergency care, her leg was determined to be shattered. We could not save her leg but WE SAVED HER LIFE. Bella spent two weeks at the Vet’s office with excellent care and we were lucky enough to find her a foster home. She is a darling girl that has adjusted well without her back leg and has already been promised a forever home by a special couple in NY, who will be driving down to pick her up in just a few weeks.

With your generosity, we created another positive outcome for a pup with no chance to survive. She will have better tomorrows because together we SAVE MORE LIVES.

My trip to the rainbow bridge is rapidly approaching. I had a beautiful solid black coat when I came here and now I’m nearly all white. I’ve been at TBC since January 2009, and since I’m nearly 15 years old, that means I’ve lived here almost my entire life – 13 years...that is 4,650 days. I know I’m loved, but I want more than anything to know the unconditional love of a real family and to love them back unconditionally

I don’t need much because I pretty much sleep all day now. I dream of a big new soft dog bed, good food and fresh water. I want to be able to walk outside and lay in the shade of a big tree and feel fresh grass under my feet. I also want somebody to tell me how special I am, hold my paw, and whisper that things will be OK when my time comes.

I will love you more than anything during my last few weeks or months. Please please please call TBC and take me home.

I’m a rather strange combination of DNA. I’m part Boxer and part Shar-Pei. I know, it’s unusual. But look at it this way…when you adopt me, you’ll never have to worry about seeing another fur baby like me. Call me Ms. One-of-a-Kind!

I weigh in at about 45 lbs and I’m somewhere in the 3-4 years old range.

I don’t remember much about my life before TBC. I do know I’ve been here about 2 ½ years now and I’m so ready to find my own home.

I’ve overheard the TBC staff saying how smart I am and that I’m a quick learner.

As for what I think…well...I prefer to be your one-and-only. But if you do have another fur baby now, I think it would be a great idea if we can meet each other first. You know…sniff butts and other dog stuff you wouldn’t understand!

I’m up-to-date on my doggy vaccinations. I’ve been spayed and I think I’m already house trained.

How could you not fall in love with this face? I am a playful, yet serious single girl looking for a like-minded forever family. Are you single or married? Would you be my Mom or Dad or both? Would I have human siblings or fur-siblings? I’m great with any answer to those questions! The kennel staff says I’m one of those “Velcro” dogs. I don’t know what that means. I just know I love my people and want to be with them doing everything they are doing! I also really like to play with my kennel fur mate! I’m what they call a pretty much perfect dog.
I absolutely love chew toys and treats, but right now I am a little on the fluffy side so I’ll need you to help me with an exercise and diet program to shed a few of these darn girlie pounds.
My heart is the same color as my eyes – gold! And that same heart is huge and ready for a new beginning with you.
I’m spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and ready to go home with you. If you already have a fur kid at home, come out to let me get to know you both. I’m excited to meet everyone that might be my forever family.
