SafeHaven Humane Society

Established in 1974, SafeHaven Humane Society is a non-profit, privately funded, limited admission shelter, that does not use euthanasia for population control. We receive no funding from the government.

Mission Statement

We help our communities' residents be the best "humane" beings they can be by providing: Compassionate temporary shelter care; healthy adoptable animals; information, understanding and education; spay and neuter programs, instead of euthanasia, for population control.

Funding

SafeHaven Humane Society is a privately funded non-profit that receives no government funding. Support from the community and donations from people like you help to keep our doors open to the over 2,500 animals that we take in and adopt out each year. Thank You!

Programs Offered

SafeHaven offers, but is not limited to, the following programs: Dog and cat adoptions, Humane Education, Cats Count (a low cost spay/neuter program for cats available to qualifying Linn County residents), volunteer opportunities and Behavioral Training classes.
