Lamesa Chapter, West Texas Humane Society

The Lamesa Chapter of the West Texas Humane Society is committed to finding loving forever homes for homeless animals.

We are committed to decreasing our community's homeless pet population by removing dogs from shelters and other unfortunate situations and having them spayed, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped and then when they are healthy, finding them loving forever homes.

When we rescue a pet, they are given needed medical care. They are brought current on vaccinations, de-wormed, micro-chipped, tested for heartworms and tick fever, started on heartworm preventitive and spayed/neutered. They are then fostered in our homes until they can be adopted out to there loving forever homes. We are a small group and do not have a shelter. All animals are cared for in our homes, our space is very limited, due to this, we do not take in pets from the public, we only pull from the city shelter.
