HSCCL is a 501c3 not for profit organization serving both Kaufman and Henderson Counties. We intake approximately 2,500 animals a year.

To promote the humane treatment of animals though care, education and advocacy. HSCCL provides shelter, food, medical treatment and TLC to every animal that is brought to our facility.

* Is a private, nonprofit organization serving the animals and people of Kaufman and Henderson Counties and beyond since 1983
* Receives no government funding and is not a United Way agency
* Receives no funding from, and is not affiliated with, any national or other humane organizations
* Depends on the generosity of individual and corporate supporters to fund our programs and services.
