Help us reach our goal of $5,000! We have many expensive updates that our shelter needs (more info on those items on our website). Can you help us with these necessary items? www.whsadopt.org/givingtuesday
HUGE thank you to everyone of you who have already donated! We are so grateful this #GivingTuesday

Another way your #givingtuesday donations are beneficial are during the extremely busy "kitten season" which for some year, started very late in the fall and we still continue to take in tiny kittens. Mama Enya came to us as a stray and very much pregnant. Her foster home allowed her to birth and take care of her tiny babies. There are many costs associated with kittens and their moms. Generous supporters like you allow us to continue to ensure families like these get the care they need. Donate today! www.whsadopt.org/givingtuesday

Up next in our feature on this #givingtuesday is Bert! While he's a familiar face on our social media platforms, we can't miss this opportunity to express our gratitude of thanks for those who have donated. Bert came to us from Texas as a stray with a torn ACL. We were able to fund his surgery and get him rehabilitated because of generous donors like you. To help animals in need, donate at: www.whsadopt.org/givingtuesday
Bert still remains up for adoption. He's been at the shelter far too long. As sad as we will all be to see him leave some day, we know he will flourish in a home of his own. Please fill out an application on our website: www.whsadopt.org/adopt

Today is the day! #GivingTuesday - a day created in 2012 as a national day of giving.
Today we will be featuring animals that have suffered from various medical conditions and because of our generous supporters like you, have been given a new lease on life with treatment and care.
First is kitten siblings Sizzy and Gator. These two kittens were found 2.5 weeks ago with severe eye infections. So severe that in December, Gator will undergo surgery to have both eyes removed and Sizzy will have one removed. With LOTS of extra TLC by their wonderful foster home along with medicine, eye washes, and extra rounds of food, these pictures show huge improvements in just 2 weeks (we will spare you with showing the very first photo). Because of generous donations, their medicine and surgery we are able to provide to them for a lifetime of happiness in their new home.
Be sure to check back for other success stories throughout the day. If you would like to donate to help us save more animals in need, please do so here: www.whsadopt.org/givingtuesday

Without the hard working, small group of staff we have, the dedicated volunteers, and generous supporters of our shelter, we would not be able to save as many animals that we do each year. "Thank you" doesn't even seem adequate. Instead, we mean: the tireless work you put in is important, invaluable, and without you here, our shelter wouldn't be as great as it is.
This Thanksgiving, we wish you time spent with family, friends and pets that you adore.

It's National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week and we would like to take this time to give a huge thanks to our employees and volunteers. Our shelter wouldn't continue to run as smoothly and successfully as it does without you all! THANK YOU!

Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for our generous supporters to come together in unity for animals in need. Join us on Tuesday, November 30 for this global day of giving. This year, we hope to raise $5,000 for necessary tools we use at the shelter. Your donation will help us purchase Vybe Cat Castles for our community cat rooms, a new transport van, and equipment needed for our cremation services. Donate today: www.whsadopt.org/givingtuesday

The Watertown Food Pantry, it's dedicated helpers, along with Feeding America, have graciously donated pet food to our community to those who may need assistance in feeding their pets. Stop by the Watertown Humane Society during office hours (Tuesday-Friday 10am-4:30pm and Saturday 10am-2:30pm) and help yourself to the items in our front lobby. PLEASE NOTE: our shelter is by appointment only for approved adopters and we cannot accept walk-ins for animal viewing.
