Kobe here was diagnosed with a grade 5/6 heart murmur when he came to our shelter. He needed to be evaluated by a cardiologist to determine the extent of damage to his heart. Second Chance funds were used for a cardiologist consult, along with an ultrasound to view his heart and determine a lifesaving plan for Kobe. At his consult he was diagnosed with subaortic stenosis (SAS), which obstructs blood flow through the heart.
Kobe will need to be on medication for the rest of his life, but he can still live a great dog life even with this diagnosis! On November 17th, the person of his dreams came into the shelter and adopted him, in spite of his heart condition and now he’s lounging on a couch somewhere, Netflix and chilling!
Kobe's happy ending is only possible because YOU donated to support our specialized medical care for shelter pets. With these donations, Animal Care was able to get Kobe the help he needed.
Please help us continue to raise the funds necessary to help the animals who need us most. ❤️ Your donations matter. These animals in need, like Kobe, matter. Thank you for all your support!

Today for #GivingTuesday, we wanted to show you just one of the many lives you have helped save with your donations to Animal Care - meet Lila, a burn victim kitty. Her pictures don’t do her justice - so we wanted to share a video just after her surgery with you all. With the funds we raise in our medical fundraiser, Lila was able to get the medical help she needed to save her life.
We are currently halfway to our #GivingTuesday goal of $10,000 for specialized medical care for shelter pets for the upcoming year - which is INCREDIBLE!! We would like to thank each and everyone who has donated so far & helped us spread the word! Please help us continue to raise the funds necessary to help the animals who need us most. ♥️

Lila was brought to Animal Care with her small body completely covered in burns. It took several surgical procedures to repair and manage her wounds, as well as a tail amputation, and many, many bandage changes. Throughout all of it, Lila was the BEST patient, even on the most painful days. Amazingly, she would purr and “make biscuits” during excruciating procedures.
Her life-saving medical treatment was only made possible because of the generous donations by kind and caring people in our community. ❤️ Lila is just 1 of MANY medical cases your donations helped fund in 2021. Please consider donating to help Animal Care for #GivingTuesday as we hope to raise $10,000 to fund specialized medical care for shelter pets - like Lila - who truly need it!
It's animal lovers like YOU who make happy endings like Lila's possible. Please donate this #GivingTuesday

Giving Tuesday is right around the corner, and we need YOUR help to reach our goal so that we can continue saving lives (like Storm here!) in 2022!
When Storm came to Animal Care, she was suffering from a leg injury sustained from falling down some stairs. Storm needed a special surgery to repair her leg and hip that couldn’t be done here at our clinic and 8 weeks of recovery time in a foster home. Donations from our Second Chance Fund were used to pay for her surgery to repair her medial patella luxation (MPL). She is now fully recovered and has found a forever home!
This year our goal is to raise $10,000 for specialized medical care for shelter pets. Every dollar you give goes directly to our work, so you can give knowing you are truly making a difference. So please mark you calendars, and help us spread the word! Together we can help the animals that need us the most! ❤️

Happy FOSTER FRIDAY!
Meet Timberrrrrr!
He's here and ready to make you fall over in love with him! Timber is enjoying time in a foster home and we have learned SO much from his foster family! Here are some fun facts about this good boy:
- Timber is crate trained (use kennel command)
- He goes straight to his crate to wait for his meals
- He's dog friendly!
- Timber can get a little too excited around small animals. We recommend a home with larger dogs or being the star of the show!
- He's also house trained
- Knows sit, down, and touch game!
- His leash manners are getting better everyday
- Would make the BEST snuggly companion for your home and family!
Timber loves his foster family, but he's hoping to find his forever home soon! 💕 Please fill out the link in our bio if you are interested in meeting him!

Save the date for November 30th for our Giving Tuesday fundraiser! This year, the best gift you can give is helping the animals who need us the most. We depend on generous donations from supporters like YOU to be able to provide the animals in our community the veterinary care they desperately need.
Malachi here is just one of the animals YOU helped us save in 2021 - because of YOUR donations! This sweet boy was able to undergo an FHO, or femoral head ostectomy just last week. This procedure helped to restore pain-free mobility to Malachi's severely damaged hip. The average cost of an FHO surgery is $1000 - and our adoption fees at Animal Care don’t even come close to covering the cost. That’s why giving to our second chance fund this Giving Tuesday will help us provide the expensive medical care these animals need to live healthy, pain free lives!
Since his surgery, Malachi has been recuperating wonderfully with his awesome foster family and we are happy to share he will be able to live out his life happy & healthy with restored mobility in his affected leg!
It's because you give, that we are able to help the animals that need us the most. Please share & consider donating this Giving Tuesday, 11/30! Swipe to learn more on how to donate.

What a weekend!! In total, we had 65 cats & dogs that were either adopted, rescued, or fostered! 🥳
Pictured here is one very happy family, some thrilled volunteers, and a dog whose having their best day! We are so grateful for our Saturday volunteers working with adopters to find their pawfect (or purrrfect) match.
Saving lives is a team sport. It isn't possible without our staff, volunteers, and a community willing to adopt or foster, especially the large pups like this big guy here!
