Save a Life, Foster or Adopt a Rescue Dog!

As a subsidiary of the Russell Rescue of Tennessee (located in Columbia, TN), Kind Hands Animal Rescue was formed in the Fall of 2012. The founding five ladies of Kind Hands started off saving dogs from the Cleveland County Animal Shelter in Shelby, North Carolina. Since then, the Kind Hands Animal Rescue has been involved in pulling, vetting and transporting dogs to the Russell Rescue of Tennessee for adoption. It was in the Summer of 2013 that Kind Hands was invited to become the official new adoption agency for the Pet Smart at University City in Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon the kick-start of the first Pet Smart Adopt-a-Thon partnership in September of 2013, Kind Hands has been able to save more dogs not only from the Cleveland County Animal Shelter but also from other local NC shelters in surrounding counties and from shelters in York and Greenville, South Carolina. To date, over 50 dogs of various breeds have been saved and adopted with the aid of the volunteer work by members of the Kind Hands Animal Rescue. Future plans for the Kind Hands Animal Rescue include expanding rescue efforts for ALL animals. If you would like to volunteer or foster a Kind Hands Animal Rescue dog, please feel free to contact us for more information on how you can be involved.
