From 1990 to 2012 a charitable organisation for the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies in Dorset - NOW CLOSED.

Happy Horses Sanctuary was initially founded in 1990 by David Craig to rescue ex-racehorses and Thoroughbreds who found themselves unwanted and without a home. Since then, the sanctuary grew and took in all breeds of horses and ponies, whatever their needs.

The Sanctuary survived thanks to kind donations, fundraising events and hardworking volunteers.

Sadly, due to the passing of our loving founder David Craig, the sanctuary was forced to close and all our horses had to be rehomed.
