WLCCAR's mission is to rescue, re-home and prevent the needless euthanization of healthy dogs due to overburdening of shelters and humane societies. We provide owners, shelters and discontinuing breeders an alternative to euthanization or surrendering their dogs to those same shelters and humane societies. We make a lifetime commitment to all the dogs that come into our care and have an active board of directors who are all committed to making a difference in the lives of these dogs and the people who rescue and adopt them.

By working with dedicated volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians and other community resources and organizations, WLCCAR has the ability to rescue dozens of dogs every year and place them in environments that are suitable for their behavioral, physical and psychological needs.
