The Ontario SPCA Lennox &Addington Branch provides shelter for surrendered, stray, abandoned, abused and neglected animals. We carry out cruelty investigations, promote spay/neuter, and work tirelessly to encourage the care and respect of all animals in our community through educational outreach. We try to reunite lost pets with their families and we are part of the Family Violence Assistance Program (caring for the pets of women and families in women's shelters).
Animals arrive at our Shelter, needing help. We vaccinate, de-worm & de-flea them, find foster homes for those that need time to grow up or to recover in. The injured & sick get to the vet; we give medicine, clean wounds, change bandages. We feed, exercise, bathe, socialize, play with and provide comfort to all...all to give the animals a second chance at life. The L&A branch has helped thousands of animals find forever homes, from wee orphan kittens to Great Pyrenees. We do it all on donations and adoption fees, as we do not get any Municipal, Provincial or Federal funding.

We work in the schools teaching respect and compassion for our fellow creatures. We try to educate and inspire our community to spay/neuter their pets, to respect and care for all animals.
