Our goal is to address concerns affecting the safety of the public and animals in your community, and to prevent nuisance dog issues. We promote responsible pet ownership to encourage compliance with the regulations through education.

The Fraser Valley Regional District provides dog licensing, bylaw enforcement, and pound services to Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Kent, Harrison Hot Springs, and Mission. A limited aggressive dog service is provided to Electoral Areas D, E, and H.

Our CARE Centre temporarily houses lost, stray and impounded dogs. Our dedicated staff provides quality medical care, nutrition, socialization and exercise to the dogs in our care. Some of these dogs are waiting to be claimed by their owners, while others are being evaluated to determine their adoption needs.
