ARC Animal Rescue Centre Devon

ARC Animal Rescue is an established animal welfare network and has been helping domestic animals in Devon since 1972.

ARC is dedicated to re-homing domestic animals, particularly dogs in Devon and Somerset as well as further afield.

ARC has never been a charity to rest on its laurels and after 38 years of aiding animals in distress in East Devon, ARC is now firmly fixing its sights on the future of animal welfare and beyond.

Historically we have always had to rely on commercial kennels to provide interim accommodation and care whilst awaiting adoption and re-homing. While this arrangement has suited the charity well, housing animals which are often in some distress in these large kennels can sometimes prove to be even more distressing. It is with this in mind that ARC has long held to the dream of building its own centre to provide for the needs of the animals and those who work with them.

We hope to include in our proposed facility:

• Kenneling for up to 20 Animals
• Treatment facility
• Rehabilitation facility
• Reception facilities for visitors
• Training area for staff and visitors
• Defined base for the charity's activities
• A clean and comfortable environment for animals prior to adoption

Such ambitious plans require ambitious funding and although well funded, the nature of the project and planning restrictions mean that ARC's funds are under more pressure than ever before.
