Stinkin' Rose Ranch is our ranch name. Eastern Sierra Equine Rescue is our NPO name. After relocating west of the Sierra's, we became Blue Oak Downs!

Eastern Sierra Equine Rescue is dedicated to rescuing horses in need, providing rehabilitation and rehoming to adoptable equine, and offering life-long, safe sanctuary and retirement to unadoptable equine.

This Facebook Page was originally created to facilitate the rescue and placement of horses when we were assisting with the rescue of horses from the feedlot in Fallon, NV. Shortly after our large rescue (we called it our November Rescue Miracle, which happened in Nov 2012), the feedlot stopped working with us. For awhile the feedlot worked with another rescue and now they are doing their own placement efforts. We wish them well and we continue to help horses in need, offering rescue, rehabilitation and retirement as space and funds allow.
