This week we've been letting the dogs tell their own story! Here's Jimmy!

My name is Jimmy. I am named after a nice man who was important in the Joshua Fund. I am one of the lucky ones. I got taken in by the Joshua Fund and have already been matched with a forever family in NY. I live to go for walks! My foster parents take me out at least once a day, and I walk very well on a leash. I’m good at retrieving a tennis ball and can run like the wind! And, of course, I love breakfast and dinner. I am very smart and have learned to ring the bells on the back door to go outside. I’m certain I can be taught almost anything. Thank you, Joshua Fund, for taking me in and finding me my forever home. I hope you find great homes for all the other dogs like me who are just waiting for a family who will love us as much as we love them!

Hi, I'm Drake!
I'm an extremely handsome boy and about a year old. I love to bathe in the sun, chase squirrels, play tug a war with my foster sister, and snuggle up on my foster mom's lap for pets and cuddles! I also love car rides and long walks to the dog park to play. My mom sometimes gives me treats, and I am always sure to show my appreciation by flashing my best smile. I'm also smart! I understand human words like sit and stay, and I sleep well in the bed inside the big box my foster mom calls a crate. I would love, love, LOVE to have my own forever family who could give me lots of pets and snuggles every day!!

This week we're letting the dogs tell their own story! Here's Carl:

Hello there, Carl here! You might have seen my pics before - I’m the tall, dark and handsome one! I like to start my day by snuggling with my foster mom. I see my big kids off to school and then it’s walk time! I love my walks. Foster mom says I’m a good boy on a leash (until I see a squirrel or a rabbit of course). I walk with my foster sister and my friend who is a German Short-Haired Pointer. After my walk it’s breakfast time, That’s another one of my favorite things. I usually take a nap then and dream of my forever home. In the afternoons I love to sit by the pool and soak up the sun. My kids usually come home from a place they call ‘Prison’ around this time; it doesn’t sound like fun, I can tell you! They are always happy when they see me, however, and I get so many hugs and kisses. I look forward to this part of my day! Sometimes we go for another short walk and then it’s dinner time! My evening is spent in front of the TV snuggled up with my favorite toys. I really love my toys, especially tennis balls and anything fluffy! I’m a very lucky boy to have such a great life down here in Texas, but I would love a family of my very own. Will you be my family?

Hi I’m Walker!! I’m about 1.5 years old, and I'm a smaller lab under 50 lbs. I’m a super sweet boy! I can be a little shy, but once I get to know you I’ll love to snuggle on the couch with you. Hi I’m Milly!!! I’m just over a year old, weigh about 35 lbs and am as cute as can be! I was rescued by the Joshua Fund after being hit by a car, and they took me to the vet and took care of me. I lost a leg, but having 3 legs won’t hold me back! I love to run and play!!! I love other dogs and love to play with toys! I oh so love treats! I can zoom around the yard so fast! Hi everyone, I’m Asher. This foster home where I’m staying is so much fun until I had to have heartworm treatment. Now my foster mom keeps me kenneled a lot! The squirrels are waiting for me to chase them, so I have to let my foster brother and sister do it. My foster mom keeps telling me what a good boy I am and how handsome I am. Hi!! I’m Gavin!! I’m a big boy (76 pounds) who just wants to play and get good ear rubs! I tell my foster mom every morning that she doesn’t need to go to work and she can stay home with me instead, but she keeps going to work! I’m a good boy in my kennel and sleep while she’s gone so I have plenty of energy to play when she gets home! I love walking with my foster sister and I’m getting better at my leash etiquette! The best part is when we get to go to the dog park after our walk and we get to run and play! Will you adopt me? I really want to go to this “forever home” my foster mom keeps telling me that I’ll get! I hope it’s a place with lots of room to play fetch and get lots of ear rubs! (Did I mention I like ear rubs?!)

Asher needs a home! This 5-year-old, gentle lab loves to explore, play with toys, and be loved by his humans! He gets along well with other dogs and is very gentle when taking treats from your hand. At night, he loves to lay next to you on the sofa and "chill" watching TV, but in the morning he's ready to play chase with other dogs. He loves walks and is great on a leash.
