Coco's Heart Dog Rescue

Coco's Heart Dog Rescue takes in neglected dogs, provides them with medical care and a loving environment while finding them a permanent home.

Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue is an established non profit 501(c)3 organization. The purpose of CHDR is to rescue dogs destined for premature euthanasia, as well as abandoned, stray and neglected dogs and provide them sanctuary and housing, needed medical care and attention, with the goal of locating and placing the dogs in suitable permanent homes and offer a centre for learning and education to our community to encourage those that profess their love and dedication to animals to take a stand to educate and participate in the cause of rescue and animal health.

Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue is an effort grounded in love, dedication and determination. The dream of establishing this rescue started back in 2000 when a very special dog, Coco, passed away unexpectedly at age 5. The loss inspired Coco’s owner, 12 year-old Ashley, to save other canine friends in his name. Ashley and Coco had been the best of friends and it is in his name that this endeavor lives on….

CHDR depends on private donations to function and rescue friends in need.
