🥊 ROCKY NEEDS $5,000 SURGERY 🥊 We are short $3,500!

This little guy needs liver shunt surgery asap and we want to give him a fighting chase to survive. Rocky was brought into our vet recently completely lethargic and basically falling over. It was possible that he may have ingested some human medication but the owner did not have the means to do the diagnostics and treatment necessary so they contacted us to see if we wanted to bring him into our rescue and get him the urgent help he needed. We knew this one-year-old puppy was suffering and had a whole life ahead of him, so we had to say yes.

After three days of monitoring and testing at the vet he improved enough to go home to his foster family and he was a happy-go-lucky puppy! We thought whatever drugs were in his system were gone and he was on the his way to finding his forever home. We were sadly mistaken - he again took a turn for the worse and became lethargic and practically lifeless. He was rushed back to the vet and with further diagnostics it was determined that Rocky has a liver shunt.

A liver shunt is very uncommon in dogs and can cause severe problems. It is an abnormal connection that persists or forms between the portal vein or one of its branches and another vein. This allows blood to bypass (or shunt) around the liver and causes the liver to no longer be able to break down nutrients. This can cause weight loss, poor appetite, and listlessness. Rocky's case is severe and life threatening.

We have found the very best surgeon who is giving us a generous rescue discount. Estimates for pre-op and surgery total $3,500 (shown in comments). Medications, special diets, hospitalization, and follow-up appointments will add to the cost as well.

Basically we need $5,000 for our little Rocky to have a fighting chase. This is one of those all hands on deck moments and we greatly appreciate any and all help from our amazing supporters! Every dollar really counts - thank you!

Feta is ready to move on! This little cutie was born in March with a quirky rear leg from a birth defect. After many consultations with specialists it was decided that the best idea was to wait until he was a little older to see how his growth plates developed and decide a treatment plan then. Feta is now eight months old and it is determined that amputation is the best course of action. That leg is just slowing him down and being an official tripawd will give him the best life possible.

This surgery comes with a price tag of $1,500 and we don't want to hold him back any longer. If you can chip in a few dollars to help Feta it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support!

‼️FOSTER NEEDED‼️This sweet puppy needs a one-way ticket out of an overcrowded shelter. We will be rescuing a few dogs from this shelter soon but we never break up a family. His brother has a committed foster but we still someone to step up for this little guy. He is six months old and probably some kind of Beagle mix.
