The Clarenville Area SPCA, a registered charity since 1989, is responsible for servicing parts of eastern Newfoundland including the Bonavista Peninsula. While we are affiliated with the SPCA NL, we also work closely with other shelters, rescue groups, and agencies concerned with animal welfare to provide the best level of protection for animals.

Our mission is to protect and care for animals that have no other shelter. When possible, we expand our services to include animals whose owners have to relinquish them for one reason or another. We try to spay and neuter as many animals as we can to enhance their adoptability. Our aim is to educate people to treat animals with the respect and love that they deserve and to encourage people to be responsible pet owners.
