Kitty adoptions, plus feral and stray cat TNR services

Healing Animal SCARS has rescued cats and kittens since we began in May 2006. We ensure every cat is spayed or neutered to prevent further overpopulation. We are a private, not-for-profit home-based rescue, and we reserve our limited space for feral cats (as regular shelters would be able to accept tame stray cats) and often rescue kittens that are the offspring of feral colonies.
We thoroughly screen adopters to ensure they will be responsible and understand that a pet is a lifetime commitment. We spend at least $300 per animal to get it ready for adoption, so we ask a donation of $150 when you are adopting a cat or kitten. The animal comes spayed or neutered, with at least 2 sets of vaccines, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, and treated for parasites and any known health conditions.
