Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue

To continue to educate the public on this beautiful, loyal, majestic and extremely intelligent breed. To rehabilitate and re-home as many German Shepherds as possible to give these dogs a second chance.

Mit Liebe (which means "with love" in German),GSD Rescue is a non-profit organization that helps neglected,abused, and or abandoned German Shepherd Dogs.

Our rescue is made up of a handful of dedicated volunteers that pride themselves in dog care, training, fundraising and communication with the public on responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering their pets.

The dogs that come into our care are taken to the vet for a check-up, heart worm testing and all current vaccinations the dog may need. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption if this has not already been done previously. The dogs are placed in a foster home for a minimum of three week prior to being available for adoption. During this time the dogs are evaluated by the foster parents on temperament, likes and dislikes, how they react to cats and/or children and their energy level and drive. The foster parents also work with the animals on basic obedience training and house manners as well.
