The Colonial Heights Animal Shelter is a city run shelter that takes in, houses, cares for, and adopts out dogs, cats, and other small animals. We are a small shelter that does our best to find loving homes for the animals in our care.

The Colonial Heights Animal Control Office/Shelter is located at 301 Charles Dimmock Parkway. We are open Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm and on Saturday 9:00 am - 12:00 noon. Please call for an appointment if you cannot make it during regular hours and the shelter staff will do the best they can to accommodate The shelter is closed on Sundays and holidays.
