West Coast Animal Rescue/Sparky and the Gang is a not-for-profit charitable volunteer based organization working to rescue dogs from local pounds, the streets, and from unsuitable conditions, placing them in safe, loving homes.

West Coast Animal Rescue/Sparky and the Gang is a not-for-profit charitable volunteer based organization working to rescue dogs from local pounds, the streets, and from unsuitable conditions, placing them in safe, loving homes. We also pull dogs off Los Angeles freeways and from areas in downtown Los Angeles and South Central. Our group in Los Angeles and Orange County and most animals are kenneled, although some animals live in foster care. All group members work on a volunteer basis and most have full-time jobs separate from this organization.

Volunteering and Donations

HOT OF THE PRESS! We have a new, really nice facility for our doggies. If you would like to come on out and walk, wash or just love our pooches please send us a email to sign up on our Volunteer list. We are also always in desperate need of foster homes, as our volunteers’ homes are overflowing with dogs. Foster homes allow our dogs to socialize to interact daily with people and other animals. They receive important training they need to find and fit into a great, loving home. Please call us if you are interested! We would also love more volunteers to help out at adoption events on the weekends and help walk and wash dogs at our kennel!

If you would like to donate supplies, we are always in need of any of the following items: DOG FOOD, dog beds, old blankets, sheets, towels, paper towels, dog treats, leashes, collars, dog crates, kennels or pet corrals (especially large and extra large), extra large water bowls, Advantage/Frontline and dog toys/balls.
