That's a wrap! Thank you so much to everyone who made #GivingTuesday so magical for cats in need.
Between our two online giving platforms, SCSCR supporters donated $11,422 dollars! The first $5,500 of that was automatically DOUBLED by the generous matches from the Roberts Family Foundation, Peter D’s RV Park, and our wonderful anonymous donor. In addition to the Business v. Business challenge donations from PDS, RANGE, and Kilpatrick Creations, $17,972 was raised in total for second chances!
We will spend the next few days tabulating a few offline donations as well, but just online we achieved 90% of our $20,000 #GivingTuesday goal thanks to you! That's a lot of second chances!
To everyone who donated, shared, and sent us words of encouragement throughout the day, thank you for your generosity. You inspire us to give our all to the cats who need us each and every day, and we are truly blessed to know you. Thank you!

This #GivingTuesday is off to an incredible start and already full of wonderful surprises!
First, a longtime friend and supporter of SCSCR surprised us with a $2,000 match - that brings our matching total for this special day to $5,500! This amazing donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has always been a rock for SCSCR, and we know we wouldn’t be here without them.
Second, our newest momma kitty, Noel, had a beautiful surprise up her sleeve! When one of our cat care specialists was completing her morning rounds, she discovered that Noel was nursing FIVE babies. That’s right, Noel had a surprise kitten about 30 hours after she finished delivering the others!
We are so grateful for these beautiful #GivingTuesday surprises, and we can’t wait to see what the next 12 hours bring. Please donate now and share, share, share to DOUBLE your impact with the help of our matching donors – thank mew!

#GivingTuesday is here! Now is the time to celebrate radical generosity by supporting second chances for cats in need.
In the first ten months of 2021, our incredible SCSCR supporters created second chances for nearly 800 cats in our programs, including:
-165 cats transferred from other shelters
-38 senior cats (comprising 13% of all adult cat intakes)
-Over 40 cats with special needs and/or chronic medical conditions
-Nearly 400 spay/neuter surgeries
Your support over the next 24 hours will ensure second chances for countless more cats who need us. As a reminder, thanks to the Roberts Family Foundation and Peter D’s RV Park, the first $3,500 donated today will be automatically MATCHED!
We are so grateful to have you in our corner this #GivingTuesday, and we can’t wait to see what the next 24 hours bring! Please donate now and share, share, share!

Just after 5pm Sunday evening, Noel went into labor. Her first little one was born at 5:40pm, and after several hours, she had four beautiful baby boys. Noel is a wonderful mother and we are so honored to be a part of this little family's journey. Our ability to save cats like Noel is only made possible with the amazing support of people like you. As we approach #GivingTuesday tomorrow, we ask that you share our mission and stories and contribute in any way you can.

Nothing warms a rescuer's heart more than when an animal actively engages in their care. But Ponderosa might have taken it a step too far...
Tonight our dear girl decided that she no longer needed her feeding tube and would much rather give solids a try. But instead of calmly moving toward the food bowl, Ponderosa ripped her feeding tube out of her face, taking the staples holding it in place along with it. She certainly made her point clear.
Your donor dollar provides cats like Ponderosa with a second chance at life. With your support on #GivingTuesday this coming Tuesday (November 30), SCSCR will be able to continue changing the lives of cats and the humans who love them every day.

Cold fall nights are the purrfect weather for blossoming new friendships. 14-year-old kitties, Primrose (who battles renal disease and glaucoma) and Jacob (currently in remission from diabetes), have become bedtime buddies ❤️

Thanks to so many awesome humans, Simba has fully recovered from his amputation surgery (those yucky sutures in the photo are now gone) and he is officially going home to his new mom on Saturday!
We were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for Simba last month. Our SCSCR family comprises the best that humanity has to offer, and we are so grateful to have you in our corner.
Congratulations, Simba!

Hai hoomans! It's Suzie Q here to announce my current community project: I am running my very own food drive!
Hunger is terrifying, and we do not want our Sheridan area friends, whether they are two- or four-legged, to have to face this challenge alone!
I am collecting kitty and doggy food donations to benefit community-owned pets this holiday season, as well as human food to donate to one of my favorite nonprofits, The Food Group!
I created an Amazon wish list with the desired items. To view the list, click here: https://a.co/3gISMJk. Please help feed our community!
