SCAT Street Cat Rescue Program Inc. has been saving and bettering feline lives since 1996 and became a registered charity on January 25, 1997.
The SCAT Team rescues and cares for stray, abandoned, feral, sick, injured and neo-natal cats, provides medical care, socialization through foster home care and attempts to find permanent homes for the cats.
Our Adoption Counsellors do their best to ensure that our cats will be matched to the best possible homes based on the cat's personality, history, habits, and individual needs.
SCAT provides cat care information and spay/neuter education to improve the human/pet experience and to reduce the problem of pet overpopulation.
We believe that kindness and compassion towards animals creates a better community for us all.
Our volunteers and staff are dedicated and passionate
about providing the best care possible for our cats.
To that end we will not euthanize any animal unless there is nothing more that we can do medically and under the guidance of a veterinarian.

This little boy came in last week lethargic and severely emaciated. We were very worried about him and immediately gave him fluids and started feeding him small amounts every four hours. At the start, he could barely keep his eyes open because there were no energy reserves on is body. Thankfully, by the 48 hour mark, he turned into a completely different kitten and began running and playing. We are not out of the woods yet, but he is continuing to improve.
Fezzik will require lots of time and resources, but of course he is SO worth it. If you would like to donate towards his care, buy tickets before the deadline which is TODAY AT NOON!

The Pizza Pals are on the hunt for their forever home.
DiGiorno - It's not delivery, it's DiGiorno! The only boy in the crew, this guy purrs the second you look at him and doesn't stop as long as you pay attention to him. He is playful and full of energy (so, a regular kitten), but he also doesn't waste an opportunity for a snuggle. He loves kisses and being told he is cute. Fav toppings: pepperoni.
Delissio - This beige beauty is an absolute sweetheart. She has her head tilt down and you'll be wrapped around her little paw in no time. She wants to be close (what is personal space?), so if you'd like a gal to snuggle up with, she might be the one for you. Fav toppings: Chicken, bacon, ranch.
Deep Dish - this tiny bundle of cuteness is almost too much to handle. She is super sweet and absolutely melts into pets. She has a gorgeous reddish-orange coat and a beautiful swirly pattern. Not a huge fan of being held (she has too many things to do), but definitely a big fan of cuddling up with you. Playful, cute, and sweet. Fav toppings: all cheese, baby.
Dominos - Dom is the most laid back of the crew. Happy to chase her siblings around or cuddle up in your lap. This adorable, loving gal is an all around sweetheart. She even lets her sibling nurse on her tummy when they need some comfort. Purrs aplenty with this little lady. Fav toppings: ham and extra cheese.
Delivery Driver Dave - This little lady is the most shy of the group, but the second she trusts you, she is full of snuggles and sweetness. She has a look of constant concern (she hasn't been getting a whole lot of tips, so it is understandable), but rest assured, she is one happy little delivery driver. She loves to chase around her siblings, especially Deep Dish. She would likely do best in a home with another kitty friend to help her come out of her shell. Fav toppings: Fully loaded.

🐾 PETSMART FEATURE: sisters Uszka and Udon (black) are the last cats standing at PetSmart Preston Crossing this week! With lots of one-on-one attention for a couple days, we’re hoping it will let them open up and enjoy our volunteers company a bit more! Both sisters are on the shy side but will open up once they realize you aren’t trying to restrain them! Apply to meet these girls today!

🐾 PETSMART FEATURE: This is Hinton, Hinton is quite the character. He loves playing with the other cats: he gets along well with them. He believes the vacuum is evil and is also quite scared of boxes. He loves his sleep and he loves string toys, anything he can chase, he loves! Hinton also loves his pasty kitty treats! Hinton will most definitely bring you and your family smiles with his beautiful personality!

Meet Disco Stu
Do you enjoy your personal space? How about doing things alone? Well, swipe left, this boy isn't for you! Stu and his foster have had several conversations about his need to always be in their bubble, it's just not sinking in!
But seriously, if you want an absolute snuggler, Disco Stu is your man! This sweet boy just loves people. He always wants to be part of the action, and will definitely lift the spirits at any gathering. He's not the most graceful kitty - he has fallen off the couch, short jumped the counter, and hardwood floors are not his friend. Don't worry though, he's just a gangly teenage boy.
What does Disco Stu like? Well an easier question would be ‘what DOESN'T he like?’.
Food? - Yes, please!
Treats? - How many can I have?
Toys? - Do they flip, make noise or roll round? Doesn't matter, can I have them all?
Disco Stu has met younger children at a recent event and did really well. This boy has lots of energy and a family that plays with him lots would be ideal.
Disco Stu may sound like the perfect fit for you, but make sure you have time to play with this energetic boy! He would love a furry friend, someone to play with when you aren't home. Or how about sister Donna Summer? So far, very little worries this curious cat - even the normally scary vacuum didn't phase him too much.

The Pizza Pals are now accepting orders...errrr...applications for adoption.
They are still in quarantine, but will be ready to head to their forever homes in 1.5 weeks!
