Moggies Cat Rescue

A small, privately run not-for-profit Kitten and Queen rescue. We are dedicated to saving and improving the lives of cats, queens and kittens.

To improve the welfare of cats, queens and kittens through community support and education.

Moggies Cat Rescue is a newly established, privately funded, small Kitten and Queen rescue. Founded by Michelle and Glen Mitchell who are not only great animal lovers but also advocates for animal welfare.
Focusing mainly on surrendered Kittens and Queens, Moggies Cat Rescue plans to develop an education program to help raise awareness of the importance of desexing and microchipping family pets.
Based in Delaneys Creek (near Woodford, QLD), Moggies Cat Rescue is encouraging community support within the area to help improve the ongoing problem of overpopulation due to uncontrolled breeding.
Moggies Cat Rescue is encouraging responsible pet ownership by supporting all cats and kittens to be desexed.
All animals that are adopted from Moggies Cat Rescue will be vet-checked, microchipped, desexed, vaccinated and parasite treated. To have the best possible start to their new lives, all kittens will be 12 weeks old before being adopted. This strict policy is to ensure that they are fully socialised before going to their new home.
Pre-adoption meet and greets are encouraged from 8 weeks of age. At this time an adoption contract can be completed and the new owner can then visit as often as they like to bond with their new family member before taking them home. As a result, most people find their new pet settles in very quickly and with little stress once they get home.
