The De Leon Animal Shelter is a non-profit municipal department, that is used to house unwanted or lost dogs. The City would like to encourage residents to register their pets with the City and to make sure that your pet is vaccinated for rabies.

We strive to do our best in finding happy homes for our lost or misplaced animals.

The Animal Control Officer does his best in locating the animals owner, so that the animal is returned to his/her home. The Shelter scans each animal brought in for a microchip in order to locate the owner of the animal.
