Almost Home Humane Society Foster Program

Almost Home Humane Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the homeless pets of our community. The foster program is a major part of Almost Homes success.

We, the Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS), care deeply about the comfort and rights of animals and citizens within our area. As such, we strive to enhance the relationship between people and animals through education, to control the pet population through responsible advocacy, and to provide sanctuary for unwanted, lost, and neglected animals.

The Almost Home Humane Societies foster care program has many different ways you can help here at Almost Home. Whether you are interested in fostering dogs, cats, bunnies, or birds we can find a temporary family member that matches your lifestyle. The only general requirements are that you love animals and have the time and resources to provide a foster animal with adequate care. Other requirements will vary depending upon the specific needs of a given foster animal. Some animals, for example, will need fenced yards, extra time commitments (as is the case with orphaned newborns), isolation from personal pets, etc. Almost Home Humane Society makes efforts to match foster homes with an appropriate animal. Almost Home will also supply you with all items you may need during your foster period ranging from crates, litter, medication, vet visits, and much more. For more information on becoming a foster parent please contact AHHS or e-mail Liz@almosthomehumane.org!
