In response to the recent outbreak of Covid-19 the City of Port Isabel has deemed it necessary to take all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of its employees.For this reason effective immediately the Isabel Y Garcia Animal Shelter will be closed to the public until April 6. We will continue posting intakes as well as adoptable animals on our social media platforms as we usually do. If you are interested in adopting from the shelter or reclaiming a lost pet within this time frame please notify us via messenger as to what pet you are interested in and we will gladly follow up with procedures on how to do so.Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
