Black Cats & Old Dogs is a 501c3 non-profit rescue that specializes in rescuing the pets that are most often overlooked in shelters.

BCOD is dedicated to saving as may animals from Euthanasia as possible. We will educate the public about the importance of spay/ neuter. All of the animals we take in will received proper vet care, training, and love. We will work with each animal and potential adopters to ensure the best home is found for each animal.

Black Cats & Old Dogs Animal Rescue was started by Arianne Burley in January of 2015 after she noticed that an overwhelming amount of animals were being left behind at shelters due to their color, age, and/or breed. Arianne set out on a mission to rescue these cats and dogs, believing that no animal deserves to be slated for euthanasia due to any of these uncontrollable things.

Black Cats & Old Dogs Animal Rescue commits to taking animals from kill shelters that are refused by other rescues. We take in a great number of heartworm positive dogs that are avoided because of the cost and length of treatment. BCOD also takes in senior dogs and pit mixes, both which are hard to find homes for, but deserve to live.
