Dedicated to working towards improving the lives of street animals in Sri Lanka.

We are a small group of dedicated individuals who have decided not to be silent observers to the awful suffering and torture of innocent animals by authorities. We don't want to wait for 'when the laws will change' and believe in doing something NOW.

The animals in the pound are starving, injured and terribly ill. Some are near death. They need food, water, medical care and freedom.

CAR aims to work at ground level and help alleviate the suffering of the starving dogs in the Colombo municipal pound by doing the following:
1. Provide a nutritious meal at least once a day
2. Rescue, treat and re-home the pound dogs
3. Raise funds to pay for the food and rescue of the pound dogs

Currently we are using our personal funds and emptying out our savings to pay for the food and rescue of these animals. However WE NEED YOUR HELP! Every single Rupee collected by CAR will be used towards the welfare of the dogs and donors are encouraged to inquire about their donations.

Lets earn our Karma and blessings not by worship but by working to help these animals.
